It features patented all-medoa technology that operates with closed seals for coolant, a pop-off when pressure is removed, and a microscopic gap between the seals (controlled leakage) with pressurized dry air. The union features a full-flow design with no obstructions to trap swarf or debris, and balanced mechanical seals made from silicon carbide for long life even under difficult operating conditions. Lastly, anodized aluminum housing resists corrosion.
